Take a boneless chicken breast. Cut it into two halves.
Slice each half lengthwise into two flat pieces with the help of a knife. Now flat these pieces with a meat tenderizer (mallet).
After the steaks are flattened, immerse them in the marinade and set them aside for 5 to 6 hours.
Preparing the Marinade
Take a mixing bowl and combine white vinegar, soy sauce, white pepper powder or black pepper powder, garlic powder, and mustard paste or mustard powder. Mix all the ingredients well. Add salt to it and mix it.
Immerse the chicken steaks in the marinade and coat them well. Now cover the bowl and set it aside for marination for 5 to 6 hours.
Frying the Chicken Steak
Take a skillet or a grill pan and grease it with 1 to 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
Heat the oil and place the chicken steaks in it. Don't overcrowd the pan. Two at a time is good to go.
Cook them for 2 to 3 minutes on each side on low flame till golden brown and then flip the side of the steak. Do not flip the steaks more than once. The steak will be cooked through within 6 to 7 minutes. If you have many pieces, you can cook them in batches.
Cook the steaks till golden brown and crispy. Now shift them to the serving dish.
Preparing the Orange Sauce
Extract 1 cup of orange juice with the help of a juice extractor. Take a pan and pour juice into it. Keep the flame low to medium.
Now add sugar to the juice and mix it well.
Add salt and white pepper powder. Mix all the ingredients well and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
When it turns to a homogenous mixture, add cornflour to it, (1 tbsp cornflour mixed in 3 to 4 tbsp water). Pour this liquid gradually while stirring constantly to avoid making lumps inside the sauce.
After adding the cornflour, cook it for 1 minute. Thicken the sauce as you like. This orange sauce is prepared within 4 to 5 minutes.
Serve hot the yummy and flavorful chicken steaks with the orange sauce or pan-roasted veggies and mashed potatoes.
